About event

Overview

A day of sunshine, creativity, and real impact, the Save the Bee & Adopt the Hive initiative brought the company’s team members together for a hands-on environmental experience in Cyprus. Designed as a meaningful corporate sustainability event, it transformed corporate values into tangible action through direct engagement with nature.

Client & Task

The client wanted to create an experience that would go beyond a traditional team outing — one that aligned with sustainability values, supported local communities, and encouraged genuine involvement. The goal was to combine purpose, education, and team connection in an authentic setting.

Concept & Format

The initiative was built around environmental stewardship and shared responsibility. Hosted at a working apiary, the format allowed participants to step outside their usual routines and engage with ecological challenges firsthand, turning awareness into experience.

Team Experience & Activities

Guests spent the day fully immersed in the world of bees through:

  • guided tours of the apiary
  • honey tasting sessions
  • hands-on hive-care activities

These experiences highlighted the importance of protecting pollinators, particularly in a region still recovering from the wildfires of 2021. The program naturally encouraged collaboration and embodied the spirit of eco-friendly team-building.

Our Role

Mara Studio supported the initiative through thoughtful planning and seamless coordination, ensuring the experience felt effortless for participants. Our event management services covered logistics, scheduling, and on-site flow, allowing guests to focus fully on the purpose and meaning of the day.

Result

By combining education, environmental care, and shared purpose, the initiative became a powerful example of a corporate social responsibility event that delivers lasting impact. The day strengthened team bonds, supported local ecosystems, and demonstrated how purposeful formats can leave a meaningful footprint well beyond the event itself.
